PACKAGING
In our bachelor project, I combined my perspective from product design with Luca Samland’s expertise in communication design to develop an experimental light object with its own distinct brand identity.
Inspired by the form of a record player, we created an interface for light with Interlude that makes physical phenomena such as polarization and birefringence tangible through conscious, manual interaction.
The object, which can be freely positioned within a space, invites users to rotate and exchange plates with different optical effects or shift their own perspective towards the object.
Through this interaction, atmosphere, colour, and perception are transformed, allowing the user to become an active designer of light themselves.
